Why Switch to Turf Nerd? You Want a Nicer Lawn Too. Our client's lawns are so much nicer than most of our competitors. We are very proud to say, the majority of our clients were referred to us by their happy neighbors, family and friends using Turf Nerd's lawn care services.
You Want Knowledgeable Lawn Technicians. Turf Nerds are experts in lawn fertilization, soil health, turf disease management, lawn damaging insect control and weed control treatments. We have the knowledge and expertise to solve the most challenging of lawn problems. You Want Options. We offer three levels of lawn care service. Select a service level that suits your needs and budget from one of our options. You Want Environmentally Responsible Fertilizers. Our lawn treatment programs include sustainable and carbon-based fertilizer applications. Our specialty is converting anemic, clay dirt into living, nutrient and organic rich soil. This is achieved by inoculating your lawn with organic and natural carbon materials several times per year. These environmentally responsible applications are included in our regular fertility program. You Want Pet Friendly Insect Control Used. We proudly use grub control products such as Acelepryn that is environment, pet and children friendly. Another benefit of Acelepryn is it will not target beneficial insects such as honey bees, ladybugs, butterflies, earthworms (Mother Nature’s aerators and nutrient miners), or beneficial soil microbes. You Only Want EPA Approved Weed Control Used. While the broadleaf weed spraying products we use are not organic, we only spray lawn care products that are approved by The Environmental Protection Agency for use on home lawns, school grounds, parks, hospitals, day care centers and sports fields. You Want to Control Compaction and Thatch Without Tearing-up the Yard. Our natural soil conditioners, thatch reducer, and carbon based liquid aeration is a superior alternative to mechanical dethatching and core aeration. No more heavy machines making a mess of the yard. |

Why do we add organic and carbon materials to our lawn treatment program?
We combine carbon based organic and natural materials with very low rates of traditional fertilizers to build soil and provide superior results over full-synthetic fertilizer programs.

We know, it looks fake or photoshopped. We promise it is not.
Below are before and after pictures of a property we do lawn applications for in downtown Dayton. This one required some extra TLC to get turned around. We got rid of the lawn weeds, applied crabgrass pre-emergence, applied liquid aeration and thatch reducer, treated with organic soil conditioners and fertilizers as well as applied environmentally friendly grub and insect control.
